Vegetable processing industry round table

Sophie Perreault attended the meeting of the Table filière des légumes de transformation (vegetable processing industry round table) on October 23. It was an opportunity for participants to take stock of the season, which was generally positive. Marie Beaudry presented Aliments du Québec’s new action plan. There were also discussions and information exchanges on proposed changes to food labelling for products made in Canada, the impact of regulatory changes (provincial and federal) relating to pesticides, and on the sector’s strategy in relation to the increase in the minimum wage.
